Product Details (Core Functions of Copper Busbars)
Copper busbars deliver three core functions in aerospace power systems:
High-current transmission – connecting generators, power distribution units, and onboard equipment for stable power supply;
Equipotential bonding and grounding – equalizing enclosure and structural potentials for system safety;
Absorbing vibration and thermal stress – preventing rigid connections from fatigue failure due to flight-induced vibration and extreme temperature changes.
Leveraging over 40 years of surface treatment expertise, we offer a full range of electroplating options (silver plating, nickel plating, gold plating, etc.) to ensure low contact resistance and excellent corrosion resistance. Additionally, we support custom insulation coatings (polyimide, ETFE, heat-shrink tubing, etc.) to provide reliable insulation protection in vacuum and high-altitude environments, meeting the stringent safety and weight-reduction requirements of aerospace applications.
Laminated Busbars: Low parasitic inductance suppresses transient overvoltage, protecting sensitive avionics; flat profile saves cabin space; custom L/Z shapes available.
Braided Busbars: Ultimate flexibility with an extremely small bending radius, effectively absorbing vibration and thermal expansion displacement; the braided structure distributes stress against high-frequency fatigue; excellent heat dissipation; high tolerance simplifies assembly.
Rigid Busbars: Manufactured from high-purity T2 copper via rolling or extrusion, offering extremely high current-carrying capacity and strong mechanical rigidity; ideal for main-circuit busing and fixed connections with superior reliability.
